What's New in 6.9

  • When upgrading to Login Enterprise v6.9 from a version older than 6.3, all existing API tokens will become invalid and must be manually recreated. You can do this in the Login Enterprise UI. For steps, see Adding a System Access Token

  • The new UI and Public API Launcher upgrade feature introduced in v6.6 is only compatible with Windows-based Launchers already running v6.6 or higher. Launchers on older versions must be updated manually one final time

  • For other upgrade limitations and detailed steps on upgrading the Appliance from v5 to v6, see Upgrading the Appliance from v5 to v6

Features

Changes/Improvements

  • Launchers can be configured to update automatically when the Appliance has a newer Launcher version available

  • The Environment diagnostics endpoint is available through the Public API

  • Help links within the Script Editor point to the new documentation platform

  • The Web Recorder captures and plays back dropdown interactions more accurately in web applications

  • The Public API supports bulk deletion of objects, including Test Configurations (all types), Session metrics definitions and groups, Providers, Environments, Launchers, Launcher groups, Applications, Application groups, and Locations

  • Engine performance has been improved to restore or increase the number of Application Executions completed within the same period compared with versions before v6.8

  • Windows 365 connector script is now compatible with the following Windows App versions: 2.0.1373.0, 2.0.1315.0, 2.0.1314.0

  • TLS profiles can now be configured via the Appliance menu

  • The Login Enterprise UI includes additional accessibility improvements that address the most common high-severity WCAG 2.1 issues

Bug Fixes

  • The LoginEnterprise container fails to start and reports 401 errors when communicating with IdentityServer after the Appliance starts following an extended period offline

  • The Continuous Test PDF report does not always include the application summary table

  • The inline 'Clear Search' shortcut is missing from certain table views in the Login Enterprise UI

  • Some pre-v6.5 events display an incorrect EventType due to shifted enum IDs, causing existing database records to map to the wrong event names

  • The testRunCancelled event ('Load Test was cancelled') is missing the Test name and Test type

  • The UWC package contains two standalone engines

  • Time labels in the Continuous Test charts do not always match the timestamps shown in data point tooltips

  • In a Load Test, an account with a failed session is returned to the account pool and starts a new session within the same run

  • When a script launches an application, the Engine's application tracker sometimes attaches to an already open window instead of the application launched by the script, causing the launch step to fail and the script to abort

  • When an Application Test encounters a login failure, it finishes with an ambiguous InternalError result in addition to the specific failure event

  • The IdentityServer background job that cleans up invalidated tokens fails and logs a LINQ error, causing the tokens to accumulate in the database

  • When running an application script, the application splash screen may be selected as the main window when the application starts, causing the script to fail
